What are moisture-wicking shirts made of?

Wicking t-shirts are always made out of at least some synthetic materials. This is because cotton is not naturally moisture-wicking, but materials like polyester are. Typically, the more polyester, the more moisture-wicking the shirt will be. Dry wick t-shirts are often made from 100% polyester, but may also claim moisture-wicking abilities if it’s a cotton/poly blend or a tri-blend.

Are wicking shirts comfortable?

Wicking t-shirts are very comfortable. Depending on the material make-up of the garment, it will have a different feel. Dry wick t-shirts that are made from 100% polyester will feel sleek and cool to the touch. The fabric will be stretchy, allowing for movement. Moisture-wicking t-shirts that have cotton in the mix will feel a little softer and have more of a woven appearance than most 100% polyester t-shirts do.
