Sales Tax & Tax Exemptions
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Or in this case, when South Dakota vs Wayfair gives you sales tax, make plans to send in your sales tax exemption.
All online retailers are now required by law to charge sales tax in most states. ShirtSpace is happy to honor your tax-exempt status for any orders shipping to states where you currently have exempt status. If you have a tax exemption please submit one of the following to firstname.lastname@example.org before placing your order:
- Reseller permit
- Resale certificate
- Sales and use tax exemption
- Another form of tax exemption from your shipping destination state
Please allow up to 2 business days for us to review, process, and update your customer account as tax-exempt. Once this process is complete we will send you a confirmation email and you will not be required to pay sales tax on future orders.
Please note that the following states do not currently collect sales tax:
Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon
